Sgt. Clair John McOllough

 

 

 

Clair John McOllough was born Apr. 12, 1919 to Stanley Christopher and Mayme Elizabeth “Virginia” Burke McOllough. He died Aug. 2, 1992 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.

Sgt. McOllough served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He was in Italy with the 194th Field Artillery Battalion. He was wounded in action near Florence, Italy and was awarded a Purple Heart. He served in the European Theater in the Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Appennies, Rhineland and Central Europe battles and campaigns.
