Murrel E. McNichols was born May 17, 1921 to Elmer Clyde and Mary Viola Lamb McNichols. He died Oct. 5, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Florence, Italy.
Pvt. McNichols served in World War II with the U.S. Army 362nd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
