Floyd Ethol McLarnand was born Sept. 8, 1910 to John F. and Emma Penn McLarnand. He died Sept. 20, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Lorraine, France and has a cenotaph in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, IA.
Pvt. McLarnand served in World War II with the U.S. Army 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division and was MIA/KIA in Nancy, France and was awarded the Purple Heart.
