John William McGroarty was born Dec. 22, 1922 to John J. and Clara McLaughlin McGroarty. He died June 6, 1944 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Pvt. McGroarty served in World War II with the U.S. Army 502nd Parachute Infantry and died of wounds received in action in France.
