Sioux City Navy Flier Crashes at Sea; Is Rescued
Ensign John G. McClintock, son of Mrs. Maud H. McClintock, 2012 Virginia Street, was rescued Sunday morning after a navy plane crashed at sea during a training flight Saturday night from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Leonard Neal Potter of Royal Oak, Mich., who was with Ensign McClintock, is missing. The Sioux City Flier was rescued by a searching craft, and his injuries are reported as slight.
Ensign McClintock graduated from the naval training center at Corpus Christi, Texas, February 16.
