Mapleton Men With the Armed Forces
Harold Martin, son of Mr. & Mrs. John Martin of Mapleton, left Tuesday for the Great Lakes Naval Training station near Chicago. He enlisted in the Navy shortly after returning from California two months ago and has been visiting with his parents and other relatives and friends here while awaiting his call to duty.

Harold Albert Martin was born Nov. 16, 1923 to John P. and Minnie Jessen Martin. He died Feb. 12, 2018 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk, IA.
