Washington: -- President Roosevelt approved Tuesday the promotion of the following Iowa and Nebraska Naval Officers from the rank of lieutenant commander to commander;
Edgar A. Cruise, Hebron, Nebraska;
Frederic S. Withington, Des Moines;
Joseph E. Chapman, Arlington, Nebraska;
Josephus A. Briggs, Omaha;
John V. Peterson, Omaha;
Philip D. Lohmann, Sioux City;
And Milo R. Williams, Falls City, Nebraska
