James A. Loffredo was born Dec. 9, 1921 to Anthony Giuseppe “Tony” and Clara A. Bellizzi Loffredo. He died July 12, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Flight Officer Loffredo served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 36th Squadron, 316th Troop Carrier Group and was MIA/FOD/KIA near Gela Beach, Sicily in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
