Sibley, Iowa – Roger J. Link, a former Sioux Cityan who returned from Ireland in September to attend officer’s school at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, has been commissioned a second lieutenant. After a ten-day leave he returned to Fort Monmouth for advanced training, afterward taking four weeks cadre training to Asbury Park, N.J. Lieut. Link, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Link of Sibley, was on the ill fated U.S.S. Wakefield, en route home to the states. At present he is stationed at Camp Campbell, Kentucky. His brother, James Link, has been stationed for the last 21 months in Iceland.

Our Neighbors in the Service

Sibley, Iowa – James W. Link, 21, sergeant technician fourth grade, with the signal corps, has been stationed in Iceland for two years. Link, who is with the aircraft warning division, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Link of Sibley. He is a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Link of Sioux City.
