Gustaf Fredrick ‘Fred’ and Zora Ann Riley Lindquist were the parents of three sons serving in World War II: Clifford Dale, Floyd Fredrick, and Ernest John.

Clifford Dale Lindquist was born Dec. 14, 1925. He died June 5, 2000 and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, IA.

Clifford served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II.

Graveside services for Clifford D. “Cliff” Lindquist, 74, Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, Clinton, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m.at the Elmwood Cemetery in DeWitt with Military Rites conducted by the VFW and American Legion of Comanche. He died June 5, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lemke Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Clifford Dale Lindquist, son of Fredrick and Zora Riley Lindquist, was born Dec. 14, 1925 at Stratford. He married Helen A. Abrahamsson, April 19, 1947 in Jewell. She preceded him in death on Nov. 22, 1974. He later married Mary Risinger on July 15, 1975 in Maquoketa. He served in the Air Force in World War II and worked as an electrician for Union Local 145.

Survivors are a daughter, Terri Gravert, and a son, Danny Lindquist, both of Camanche; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Margrette Nelson, Colorado, two brothers, Fredrick Lindquist, Webster City, and Ernest Lindquist, Forest City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
