Lt. Leadean Levis

 

 

 

Leadean Levis was born June 18, 1924 to John Douglas and Nellie Jane Clark Levis. He died May 21, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Lt. Levis served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet, Fighting Squadron 12, serving aboard the USS Randolph (CV-15) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his P-61 collided with the P-61 flown by Ens. David G. Howard, Jr. and they both crashed into the sea. He was awarded the Air Medal with Gold Star and a Purple Heart.
