Pvt. Kenneth Kuchar

MANLY—Mrs. Carolyn Kuchar has received a letter from Brig. Gen. H. B. Lewis, in North Africa, that her son, Pvt. Kenneth Kuchar, member of the paratroop division, was drowned June 17, in the North Africa area. On June 16, he wrote a letter to his parents telling them he was “O.K.” He had been ill in a hospital for three weeks prior to that.

Kenneth Harold Kuchar was born June 18, 1921 to John H. and Carolyn “Carrie” Jensen Kuchar. He died June 17, 1943 and is buried in North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia.

Pvt. Kuchar served in World War II with the U.S. Army 2nd Replacement Depot.
