William Henry Krieger was born Jan. 21, 1901 to Henry and Mary E. Krieger. He died Aug. 23, 1962 and is buried in South Marion Cemetery, Stratford, IA.

William served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Services Held For Dr. H.W. Krieger, 61, at Stratford Church

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Methodist Church in Stratford for Dr. Henry W. Krieger 61, prominent Stratford resident, who died Thursday, August 23, at the Hamilton County Hospital after a long illness.

Rev. Harold Olson, conducted the services. A solo was sung by Rev. Robert Carlson, accompanied by Mrs. Cleo Bell.

Pallbearers were Franklin Rose, Dwight Oleson, Boyd Nuckolis, Joseph Stone, Dayton Passmore, and Robert Hudson.

Burial was at the South Marion Cemetery.

Dr. Krieger was born on a farm near Rippey, Iowa. After graduation from Grand Junction High School, he attended Drake University for one year and was graduated from Iowa State University of Iowa Dental College in 1927. He practiced Dentistry in Stratford from that time, except for the time he was in the Armed Services in World War II.

An active member of Calvary Methodist Church, he served on several committees and was on of its Trustees. He was a past President of the Fort Dodge District Dental Association and was a trustee of the Iowa State Dental Association at the time of his death. He served on the Stratford Community School Board of Education for many years and was one of its presidents.

He was a Mason and a member of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. Dr. Krieger was a former president of the Stratford Commercial Club and was a member of the Stratford Lions.

He is survived by his wife, Velma; two daughters, (Joanne) Mrs. Paul Doerr of Minneapolis, Minnesota and (Jean) Mrs. Richard Jorgenson of Eagle Grove.
