Arthur James Koeppen was born Aug. 15, 1917 to Ernest M. and Mary F. Koeppen. He died Feb. 17, 1943 and is buried in North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, Carthage, Tunis, Tunisia.
Pvt. Koeppen served with the U.S. Army 168th Infantry, 34th Division in World War II and was KIA in Faid Pass, Tunisia. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals.
