Herman Carl Heinrich Kiepe was born Apr. 5, 1915 to Hermann Fred and Dorothea Sophie Kuhlmann Kiepe. He died Mar. 27, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia and in Saint Clair Cemetery, Ute, IA.
Pvt. Kiepe served in World War II with the U.S. Army 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and was MIA/FOD/KIA in Tunisia and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
