Cpl. Fred Kahn


IN UNIFORM

Herman Kahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Kahn, 1110 Court Street, has been promoted from technician fourth grade to staff sergeant. Sgt. Kahn is a mess sergeant for Company H, Signal training regiment, central signal corps, Camp Crowder, Missouri.

Two brothers are in service. Cpl. Fred Kahn is with a medical unit in Italy and S. Sgt. Louis Kahn is a crew chief with the A.T.C. in Africa. His wife, Mrs. Mollie Kahn, resides at the Plaza courts in Neosho, Missouri.

Siegfried Fritz Fred “Fred” Kahn was born Apr. 1, 1913 to Isaak and Johanna Rosenstock Kahn. He died Nov. 16, 1945 and is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Cpl. Kahn served in World War II with the U.S. Army 16th Evacuation Hospital, 5th Army in Africa and Italy. He died while in the service of his country.
