Death in Normandy For Philip Judd, 20

Philip Peter Judd, 20, son of Mrs B.C. Crumpacker, 1439 Seventh st., was killed in action in Normandy June 14 while serving with the Seabees, according to word received here from the navy department.

Judd was born at Malcolm, Ia., and spent his early years there before moving to Des Moines.

Philip Peter Judd was born Jan. 14, 1921 to Mark L. and Anna Royce Judd. He was KIA on Normandy Beach, June 14, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
