Sgt. Joseph P. Jordan

Awarded High Honor   

Sgt. Joseph P. Jordan, formerly of Algona, a son of A. L. Jordan, who makes his home with the Alvin Webers of LuVerne, has been awarded an oak leaf cluster by the army, for gallantry in action in Germany. He recently visited his father, and sister, Mrs. Alvin Weber, before reporting for his discharge to a post in California.  He served overseas two years with the 36th infantry division. He also had been awarded a combat infantryman’s badge, bronze star, bronze star cluster, silver star, and purple heart. He graduated from Algona high, Class of 1931.
