Delbert McAfee Johnston was born June 2, 1914 to Irving James and Jessie Belle McAfee Johnston. He died Jan. 3, 1944 and is buried in Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, IA.
Sgt. Johnston served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was KIA in Italy and was awarded the Purple Heart.
