Meet in Hawaii

Ralph Johnson, seaman first class, U.S.N., (left) and Harold R. Johnson, seaman second class, Seabee, (right) met accidentally in Hawaii after a five-month separation. Before enlisting in the navy about six months ago, Harold attended West Junior School and Ralph, Leeds High School.

Private Arthur D. Johnson, a brother, is stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland. His wife and baby, Mary Ellen, live at 1906 W. Third Street. The three brothers are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson, 4331 Van Buren Street.

Ralph Junior Johnson was born Nov. 6, 1926 to Edward Theodore and Laura Virgil Reid Johnson. He died July 12, 1953 and is buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
