Pvt. Donald Eldon Johnson

 

Donald Eldon Johnson was born Dec. 12, 1916 to Theodore and Ellen Soderstrom Johnson. He died Dec. 7, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome America Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.

Pvt. Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 135th Infantry, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA while taking meals to the front lines (in Italy) when his vehicle was hit by enemy fire. The vehicle was destroyed and his life was ended. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
