IN UNIFORM.

Richard L. Jandt of the United States counter intelligence service is spending a 45-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Jandt, 1810 Ross Street.

The young intelligence officer flew from Manilla to San Francisco in 48 hours and stopped at several camps en route. At the end of his furlough he will report at Camp Bowie, Texas. He has been in the army since July 1942, serving in the infantry and in confidential capacities. Following a stay in a hospital on Luzon, where he was treated for tropical fever, he was assigned to the counter intelligence branch and spent considerable time on a political survey of the Philippines.
