Sgt. John Francis Inman

 

John Francis Inman was born Feb. 5, 1923 to Silas Wilbur and Ruth Gertrude Bradley Inman. He died Jan. 24, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium and has a cenotaph in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell, IA.

Sgt. Inman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a tail-gunner in a bomber that was shot down over Germany. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
