George Horner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Horner, 1313 ½ Jones Street, has completed basic training at Fort Smith, Arkansas and is taking technical training in schools in Detroit, Flint, Michigan and Cleveland.

George Lester Horner was born Nov. 3, 1921 to Jesse R. and Martha Iverson Horner. He died Oct. 8, 2000 and is buried in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, IN.
George served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
