To Join Husbands in Air Service

Mrs. Warren Silzer, 3419 Douglas Street and Mrs. Robert Hine, 919 34th Street, departed Sunday for San Antonio where they will join their husbands, who are in training in the army air force.

Men and Women In the Service

Aviation Cadet Robert E. Hine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Hine, 1505 Ruby Street, recently reported for training in the army air force basic pilot school at Goodfellow field near San Angelo, Texas after completing his primary flight instruction at Gibbs field, Fort Stockton, Texas. Cadet Hine was graduated in 1939 from Central High School, where he played basketball and later studied at the University of Iowa and Morningside College.

Robert Eves Hine was born June 18, 1911 to Hayden H. and Della Eves Hine. He died July 4, 2007 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.

1st Lt. Hine served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
