Cpl. Darrell H. Hardick

 


Wounded in Action

Mrs. B.J. Perry, 205 Sparks Street, has received a telegram from the adjutant general at Washington informing her that her brother, Darrell H. Hardick, was seriously wounded in action in the Philippines January 27. He enlisted in the regular army in April 1937.

Darrell H. Hardick was born May 11, 1911 to James and Bertha Cook Hardick. He died May 7, 1942/FOD Feb. 1, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Cpl. Hardick served in World War II with the U.S. Army 31st Infantry and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
