Our Neighbors in the Service
Sac City, Iowa – Darrell Hanshaw of Sac City, a graduate of Buena Vista College, has received his gold wings and a commission as an ensign in the navy air corps at Corpus Christi, Texas. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. G. A. Hanshaw of Sac City. Ensign Hanshaw has been transferred to Fort Worth, Texas to take advanced training. While at Buena Vista he was elected the most representative man in the senior class. He was coach and principle at Moneta, Iowa High School for a year before enlisting.
