Wendell Thomas Hankins was born Jan. 17, 1920 to Sylvester and Florence I. Bryant Hankins. He died Nov. 17, 1944.
Cpl. Hankins served in World War II with the U.S. Army 33rd Armored Regiment and was KIA near Aachen, Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart.
