Lt. Stanley T. Hoversten

 

 

 

FIRST LIEUTENANT

Stanley T. Hoversten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Scalino of Stanhope, has been promoted from second to first lieutenant.  Lieutenant Hoversten is stationed at Camp Adair, Ore.

IN GERMANY

First Lt. Stanley Hoversten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sealine of Stanhope, is now with the 78th “Lightning” division in Germany. He is serving as assistant communications officer with headquarters battery of the 307 field artillery battalion. His new address may be obtained from his parents.

Stanley Tennyson Hoversten was born Sept. 1, 1919 to Benjamin Martin ‘Ben’ and Anna Louise Mathre Hoversten. He died Oct. 23, 2003 and is buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

Lt. Colonel Hoversten served with the U.S. Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
