Luverne L. Hoefer was born Sept. 5, 1914 to John J. and Anna H. Hoefer. He died Aug. 11, 2001 and is buried in the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA.
Pvt. Hoefer served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
