Oda R. Hixson was born Aug. 21, 1919 to Oda S. and Ida Leola Dillard Hixson. He died Oct. 24, 1944.
Cpl. Hixson served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died as a POW while being transported northward from the Philippine Islands on a Japanese ship which was sunk.
