Joseph Francis Hartigan was born Feb 28, 1915 to Daniel Timothy and Margaret Higgins Hartigan. He died Feb. 19, 1958 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Ute, IA.

Sgt. Hartigan served with the U.S. Army 95th Armored Field Artillery Battalion in World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
