Cpl. Neal G. Goodwin

Re-Enlists

Cpl. Neal G. Goodwin, 418 Main Street, 791st M.P. Battalion, received his honorable discharge at Camp Knight, California, recently and he immediately reenlisted for another year. Cpl. Goodwin pointed out that the detail to which he is assigned has work to do as long as men are overseas. He is a member of a detachment engaged in sending mail to service men in the Pacific area.

Anticipating heavy Christmas mail about 9,000 men were detailed for handling it, but according the Cpl. Goodwin, the mail for this year was one-fifth of that for 1944 and it was also notable that letters and packages were mailed late.

Cpl. Goodwin arrived in Sioux City on Saturday for a 60-day furlough with his wife and son, Earl Goodwin, a pupil at North Junior School.
