Major Miner A. Gleason

Captain Transferred

Capt. Miner A. Gleason, personnel officer at Goodfellow field, Texas, army air force basic flying school, was transferred to Sloan field at Midland, Texas; it was announced by Col. Henry R. Baxter, commanding officer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gleason, 1812 Douglas Street, Sioux City. Capt. Gleason will be permanently assigned to the bombardier school at Big Spring, Texas upon completion of his duties at the Midland field. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota.

Now A Major – Miner A. Gleason, personnel officer of the army air corps at Big Springs, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Gleason, Grandview Apartments, recently was promoted from captain to major. A graduate of the University of South Dakota where he was a member of the R.O.T.C., Maj. Gleason entered military service in March 1941.
