Iowa Honor Roll

These Iowans have given their lives for their country. Each man pictured here has been killed in combat or has died in a prison camp. This group includes the five Sullivan brothers of Waterloo, who went down with the Juneau. The fourth line under each picture indicates the area in which the man last served. Further Honor Roll photographs will be carried here later.

Morris Edward Fricke was born July 6, 1922 to Fred E. and Elizabeth M. “Lizzie” Wolken Fricke. He died June 8, 1942 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, New York, NY.

Petty Officer Fricke served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Patrol Squadron 93 and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his plane was lost while returning to Argentia, Newfoundland from convoy duty.
