 Gerrit Henry Franken F 2/c recently spent a 30-day furlough at the parental Gerrit Henry Franken home and left last week Wednesday to report for further duty. On Wednesday morning Pvt. Howard Franken arrived home to spend a furlough at the parental home. 

The brothers missed seeing each other by a few hours.

Howard John Franken was born Mar. 23, 1925 to Gerrit Henry and Gertie Bosch Franken. He died May 23, 2017 and is buried in Memory Gardens, Luverne, MN.
