Lt. James A. Forrester


IN UNIFORM

Lt. James A. Forrester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Forrester, 1017 S. Glass Street, accompanied by his wife has ended a three-day visit with his parents here and has returned to New York where he will complete his education at Columbia University. He was inducted in the service in July 1942 and was discharged October 1. He had finished his junior year at Morningside College when inducted. He was a member of the first fighter-bomber group to operate an American built airfield in Germany. He served with the 365th “Hell Hawk” group, every member of which was awarded the blue-ribbon signifying that his organization received a unit presidential citation “for outstanding performance of duty.”
