Carl Leonard Flogstad was born Mar. 7, 1921 to Paul O. and Hildur Helmers Flogstad. He died Aug. 21, 1944 and is buried in Story County Memorial Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Capt. Flogstad served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 2nd Bomb Squadron, 22nd Bomb Group and died in Cairns, Australia while in the service of his country.
