Marc AKA Marcus Daniel Ferreter was born Dec. 11, 1924 to John F. and Margaret J. Burns Ferreter. He died Mar. 10, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.

Petty Officer Ferreter served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was aboard the USS Edward Luckenbach, as an armed guard, when it was torpedoed by an enemy submarine in the Atlantic area. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
