T/Sgt. Earl E. Faber

 

 

 

Earl E. Faber was born Jan. 9, 1923 to Ferris E. and Daisy D. Douglas Fowler. He was adopted and raised by Carl R. and Anna Burke Faber. He died Feb. 15, 2001.

Earl served in the U.S. Army in World War II for 24 months, 17 of which was spent in the Philippines and Japan.

His Obituary:

Earl E. Faber, age 78 of Momence, IL, died Thursday, February 15, 2001 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Earl lived in the Jewell area several years ago. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Momence, IL, with Rev. Keith GeRue officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Momence Honor Guard. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services. Mr. Faber has donated his body to Demonstrators of Illinois.

Earl was born on January 9, 1923 in Rosehill, IA, the son of Ferris E. and Daisy D. Douglas Fowler. He was adopted and raised by Carl R. and Anna Burke Faber. On September 20, 1952 Earl married Barbara Laue in Dolton, IL.

Mr. Faber was a WW II Veteran TSgt. US Army in the Southern Philippine Liberation. He was a retired custodian for the Momence School District and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Momence, IL.
