Pilot Trained at Sioux City Base Reported Missing
Reported missing in action after a bombing mission over Germany is Lieut. Harvey Esty, 22, whose wife resides at 1506 W. Fourth Street. The report came from the war department.
The raid from which Lieut. Esty, a pilot, failed to return, took place August 12, Mrs. Esty has been informed in a telegram, She is the former Avis Elain Solomon of Vermillion, South Dakota.
Lieut. Esty, who has served more than three years in the army, received his final flight training at the Sioux City air base and was sent overseas last May.
