Clarence A. Estes was born in 1913 to Luther Scott and Artie Pearl Ruggles Estes. He died Oct. 24, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, IA.
Sgt. Estes served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 803rd Engineer Battalion, Aviation and was MIA/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
