Ronald Esch

 

Strawberry Point -- Mr. and Mrs. Herman Esch have four sons and a daughter-in-law in the service. Kenneth volunteered and was inducted at Flagstaff, Ariz., Mar. 20, 1944. He is now a cryptographer technician with the air forces stationed at a base in Maine.

Lyle joined the army Jan. 1, 1942 and has been in the south Pacific area since April, 1942.

Roland and Ronald, twins, both enlisted and are non commissioned officers. Roland enlisted in March 1937, and was at Ft. Snelling. Since the enlistment of the latter the towns have never been separated They spent 30 months in Newfoundland and married Newfoundland girls. They are stationed now at Ft. Benning, Ga., in the infantry.

On June 28, 1943, Esther Esch, wife of Pfc. Lyle Esch, was sworn into the WAVES. She is stationed at Miami Beach, Fla.
