Richard Elliott, husband of Mrs. Albina Joan Elliott, 2302 Isabella Street, is receiving initial naval indoctrination at the United States naval training station, Great Lakes, Ill. His boot training consists of instruction in seamanship, military drill and general naval procedure, including aptitude tests to determine whether he will be assigned to a naval service school or to immediate active duty at sea. Upon completion of this recruit training he will spend a period of leave at his home here.

Richard Roy Elliott was born Sept 28. 1909 to John William and Maude Hence Elliott. He died Jan. 26, 1981 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Richard served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
