Corby Malcolm Ellington was born Apr. 28, 1922 to Charles J. and Mamie L. Malone Ellington. He died Mar. 23, 1943 and is buried in North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia.

Sgt. Ellington served in World War II with the U.S. Army 899th Tank Destroyer Battalion and was KIA in the North African area in the defense of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
