Donald Frederick Eggers was born Feb. 24, 1914 to Fred W. and Augusta Buettner Eggers. He died Dec. 28, 1995 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Pvt. Eggers served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.

Donald Eggers, 82, North Hollywood, Calif., died Dec. 28, 1995. A memorial service was held Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Hollywood, Calif. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City.

Donald F. Eggers, son of Fred W. and Augusta Buettner Eggers, was born Feb. 24, 1914 in Webster City. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City. On June 1, 1941, he married Leila Heck of Webster City. He served in the Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Leila Eggers; sisters, Eleanor Wehrman, Belle Plaine, Marian Jeske, Albuquerque, N.M., Evelyn Gertrude and Lois Eggers, both of Omaha, Neb.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen Chalfant and Ruth, who died in infancy.

Mr. Eggers was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Hollywood, Calif.
