Sgt. Floyd D. Eckrosh

 

 

Floyd D. Eckrosh was born Oct. 1, 1916 to Joseph and Rose Salem Eckrosh. He died Aug. 24, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.

Sgt. Eckrosh served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 715th Bomber Squadron, 448th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA as a nose turret gunner on a B-24H type aircraft which failed to return from a bombing mission to Brunswick, Germany. He was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
