Gerald Albert Eastman was born Mar. 22, 1925 to Albert W. and Leitha Lucile Eastman. He died Dec. 3, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Lorraine, France. He was initially buried in the U.S. Military Cemetery, Hochfelden, France.

Pvt. Eastman served in World War II with the U.S. Army 314th Infantry, 79th Division and was KIA in the Hagneau Forest in France and awarded the Purple Heart.
