Wayne Dutler Killed In Plane

Cpl. Wayne R. Dutler, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Dutler, 1421 Twenty-fourth st., was killed July 16, in a plane accident over Austria.

Corporal Dutler had been in the army air forces three years and in England with the 8th air force since May, 1943.

Surviving, besides his parents, are three brothers: Earl Dutler, Guthrie Center, Ia.; Cpl. Roy Dutler, home on furlough from overseas duty; Pfc. Ilo Dutler, in the Philippines; and two sisters, Lois and Lowene Dutler, both at home.

Wayne Robert Dutler was born Aug. 22, 1920 to August and Margaret Eagen Dutler. He died July 16, 1945 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY.

Cpl. Dutler served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in Vils, Austria as the result of an airplane accident while in service to his country.
