Lt. Donald Dale Dilly

 

 

Donald Dale Dilly was born Mar. 17, 1920 to Shirley Lyman and Minnie Tjaden Dilly. He died Jan. 8, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Lt. Dilly served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Force Composite Squadron 92 and was MIA/FOD/KIA when he failed to return from an anti-submarine patrol mission west of Luzon, Island, the Philippines. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart.
